Introduction
Cryowar is a free-to-play, multiplayer arena brawler set in an expansive Sci-Fi Medieval game world. Built on the Solana blockchain and developed in Unreal Engine, it offers a mobile experience where players engage in an epic struggle for dominance between warring gods.
Lore
The world of Solariance was once the battleground for four bloodthirsty gods: Sullr of the Glaciers, Senemeer of Shadows, Lavaden of Firestorms, and Vigolar of the Deserts. An ancient “Armistice of Akava” brought 10,000 years of peace after the gods, weary of fighting, ascended to their skyrealms.
This tranquility shattered when the mysterious disappearance of great oracles prompted Sullr and Vigolar to return to the mortal plane, seeking vengeance. Their descent reignited the divine conflict, nullifying the ancient truce and plunging Solariance back into a world-ending war as other gods returned to face them.
Gameplay
Cryowar focuses on fast-paced, skill-based combat where players compete in frantic battles lasting three minutes or less. The core gameplay involves a mix of PvP and PvE experiences across a variety of maps and modes, including Deathmatch, Last Man Standing, and cooperative boss fights.
To ensure dynamic matches, the game randomly cycles through level objectives at the start of each round, requiring players to adapt their tactics instantly. Players can select from different hero classes, such as the defensive A.C.S. Heavy, the close-quarters A.C.S. Valkyrie, or the medium-range A.C.S. Centurion, each possessing unique abilities.
- mobile multiplayer play.
- Gameplay is designed to be skill-based.
- Features a crafting system for in-game items.
Economy
The Cryowar economy is built around the CWAR utility token and NFTs representing in-game assets like character skins and virtual land plots. The CWAR token serves as the primary medium of exchange on the in-game marketplace and is required for tournament entry fees. A significant risk to the economy is the delisting of the CWAR token from several exchanges, which affects its liquidity.
Players can stake both tokens and NFTs to earn rewards. The project also planned for several deflationary mechanisms, such as token burns, to help stabilize the in-game economy over time.
- Marketplace fees are used to fund token burns, tournament prize pools, and project development.
- Players can buy and sell NFT character skins and items.
- The system includes staking for both CWAR tokens and NFTs.
