Intro

The Bornless is an upcoming free-to-play, first-person shooter (FPS) horror-themed extraction game developed by Cathedral Studios. Set on a remote Lovecraftian island during the 1960s, players engage in both player-versus-player (PvP) and player-versus-environment (PvE) combat, facing off against rival teams, cultists, and demons. The primary objective is to collect Sigils through rituals, which allow players to transform into powerful demons to survive the night. The game is planned for an Early Access release on PC, with no specific date confirmed yet. Console releases are under consideration.

• Premium Cosmetics & Season Pass: The game is planned to follow a free-to-play model, offering premium cosmetic items, Safehouse decorations, and exclusive rewards through a season pass.
• Blockchain Integration Plans: Cathedral Studios has confirmed that blockchain integration is optional. Players who opt in can own and trade certain in-game assets, such as weapons and skins, as NFTs. However, blockchain mechanics will not provide in-game advantages, and participation remains voluntary.
• Current State of Blockchain Integration: The core gameplay of the game does not include any NFT or blockchain integrations. Blockchain technology will be utilized outside the main game, likely on the website, where players can log in and safely trade earned cosmetics with each other using player-to-player trading powered by the blockchain.
