Introduction

Big Time is a free-to-play multiplayer action RPG built on Ethereum, developed by Big Time Studios. Players explore procedurally generated dungeons across colliding eras of history, from ancient civilizations to far-future settings, while building a player-owned economy of craftable collectibles. The game is in Open Access for Windows PC, downloaded through the Open Loot Launcher.

Lore

In Big Time, humanity is on the brink of extinction as the walls of spacetime collapse and different eras of history begin colliding together. Players join Evermore Academy to help stop the collapse, traveling between settings that range from ancient civilizations to industrial ages and far-future zones. Dungeon runs and story missions are framed as part of that larger effort, tying the game’s time-travel premise to figures and locations drawn from across history. Epoch City serves as the central social hub players return to between expeditions.

Gameplay

Big Time is a cooperative action RPG built around procedurally generated dungeons, with layouts, enemies, and objectives that change on every run. Parties of up to six players fight through settings spanning prehistoric, industrial, and far-future eras, completing objectives such as disarming bombs or defeating named bosses, then returning to the social hub, Epoch City, between expeditions.

  • Six playable classes cover distinct combat roles, from the melee-focused Time Warrior and ranged Chronomancer to the healing-focused Quantum Fixer, alongside Shadowblade, Battlemancer, and Techblade.
  • Pocket Watches let players switch class mid-dungeon, since skills, abilities, and equipment save to the watch itself rather than a single character.
  • Personal SPACE instances give each player a customizable home base to expand and decorate outside of dungeon runs.

Economy

Big Time runs on a player-driven economy centered on the $BIGTIME token and tradable digital collectibles, with total token supply capped at 5 billion. Hourglasses, craftable items with limited active time, are the primary way players earn $BIGTIME through gameplay, while Time Crystals serve as an account-bound premium currency that cannot be traded. NFT cosmetics, SPACE workshops, and marketplace activity route through Open Loot, the game’s companion economy platform.

  • Hourglasses generate $BIGTIME while active and can be crafted or recharged, adding a resource-management layer to earning.
  • SPACE workshops, including Forges and Armories, let players craft and upgrade cosmetic gear for trading.
  • Open Loot handles marketplace activity for NFTs and collectibles, accepting crypto and traditional payment methods.
