Introduction

Decimated is a third-person multiplayer survival RPG set in a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk wasteland, built by Fracture Labs in Unreal Engine 5. It pairs open-world survival with a Solana-based token economy and is currently in open alpha, free to download on the Epic Games Store, with a Steam release planned. Players survive a ruined Earth where scattered factions fight over scavenged resources and control of the decaying cities.

Lore

In Decimated’s world, Earth has been left in ruins after decades of environmental collapse and political breakdown. Cities that once held millions now sit overrun by jungle, swamp, desert, and ice, and most of the people who remain are criminals, dissidents, and the poor with nowhere else to go. Cyborg police enforce a harsh order over what is left, while mutated creatures, malfunctioning machines, and rival factions compete for the resources that can still be found. Every survivor has to carve out a place in this landscape, whether by upholding the law, breaking it, or simply lasting long enough to matter.

Gameplay

Players start by picking one of three roles, a human citizen, a cyborg cop, or a wasteland marauder, then head into a persistent open world shared with other players. The core loop runs on missions and survival: scavenge resources, take on jobs, fight rivals and AI threats, trade, and build a foothold to defend. The map is large and can be crossed by land, sea, and air.

  • Role-based play: each of the three character types faces the world from a different side of its lawless society.
  • Missions and events: the open alpha ships with 150-plus missions spanning delivery, racing, and scouting, tracked on public leaderboards.
  • Vehicles and traversal: more than 30 vehicles plus jetpacks and parkour movement open up how you cross the wasteland.

Economy

Decimated wraps its survival loop in a blockchain-based economy on Solana. Not all of the game runs on-chain; the token layer sits around rewards, trading, and staking rather than core play. Players earn in-game Credits through missions and referrals, while the tradable DIO token settles marketplace purchases and reward payouts.

  • Earning and rewards: missions and leaderboard events pay out in-game currency and tokens that can move to the open market.
  • In-game marketplace: vehicles, weapons, and upgrades are bought and sold through the game’s internal store.
  • Staking: the token can be staked in pools, with claim and unstake mechanics handled on-chain.
