DeFi Kingdoms

Introduction

DeFi Kingdoms is a browser-based fantasy RPG that runs its economy directly through DeFi mechanics, spread across two realms: Crystalvale on DFK Chain, an Avalanche subnet, and Serendale on Kaia. Players summon Heroes to explore the fractured land of Gaia, tending gardens, running quests, and dueling other players. It’s free to play, with in-game costs centered on hero summoning and marketplace trading.

Lore

Gaia was once a single, unified world until an era of runaway technological progress pulled its people away from the land they depended on. Their neglect angered Irae, the God of Renewal, who tore the world apart into isolated continents to slow the damage, beginning what became known as the Age of Progression.

After millennia of separation, the divided kingdoms are now reuniting through their shared reverence for Gaia and for JEWELs, the magical resource cultivated in gardens across the realms. Rulers use that energy to summon ancient Heroes from the Inner Grove, calling them back to defend their kingdoms from the corrupted creatures that have overrun the land since the split.

Gameplay

DeFi Kingdoms plays as a Hero-management RPG layered over a working economy: summon Heroes, then set them to work across the fractured realms of Gaia. Heroes handle Professions for resources, run Quests for stats and rewards, and fight for wagers in PvP, with no fixed campaign guiding progress.

• Hero summoning: Combine two Heroes’ genes at a JEWEL and Gaia’s Tears cost, with a chance of rare class or trait mutations.
• Professions and quests: Work Heroes as fishers, foragers, gardeners, or miners, then send them on profession or training quests for rewards.
• PvP Duels: Wager JEWEL in 3v3 Duels or enter Colosseum tournaments for seasonal prizes.

Economy

DeFi Kingdoms splits its economy across three tokens by realm. Crystalvale runs on CRYSTAL and Serendale runs on JADE, each acting as that realm’s local Power Token for gas, liquidity, and Garden staking rewards. JEWEL sits above both as the original network currency, still spent on hero summoning, Tavern marketplace fees, and governance voting. Heroes, land, and crafted items exist as NFTs that players can buy, sell, or hire out directly.

• Realm tokens: CRYSTAL fuels Crystalvale and JADE fuels Serendale, each distributed through that realm’s own Gardens.
• Garden staking: Provide liquidity to token pairs and earn a share of trading fees in the local Power Token.
• Tavern trading: Heroes, land, and crafted items are NFTs that players list, buy, or hire out in the in-game Tavern.
