Lore

The game is set in the fractured world of Elderym, which has been overrun by a corrupting entity known simply as “The Dread.” Civilization teeters on the brink of collapse, and it is up to the Guardians to reclaim lost territories.

The world is divided into distinct elemental regions, including the fiery depths of Brimstone and the icy wastelands of Frostmire, introduced in late 2024. Players uncover the history of the Draek and other factions as they push back the darkness, restoring balance to a realm defined by ancient magic and ruin.

Gameplay

Guild of Guardians centers on strategic squad management and roguelite progression. Players assemble teams of Guardians, selecting characters based on roles such as Tank, Healer, and Support to counter specific enemy threats in automated combat encounters.

• Roguelite Dungeons: Players navigate branching paths in Adventure mode, collecting resources that are retained even if the run ends in defeat.
• Gauntlet Mode: A draft-style challenge where players build temporary teams to survive increasingly difficult waves for high-tier rewards.
• Leaderboard Challenges: Competitive modes like the Endless run and asynchronous PvP Arena reward top players with crafting materials and currency.

Recent updates have expanded the tactical depth with the addition of Pets, which provide passive bonuses, and a revamped Radiance system for character progression.

Economy

The Guild of Guardians economy runs on the $GOG token, which serves as the primary currency for minting NFTs and marketplace transactions. Players earn assets through gameplay which can be traded or used to enhance their squad.
