Introduction

Legend of YMIR is a Norse mythology MMORPG developed by WEMADE and built on Unreal Engine 5, with an economy connected to the WEMIX blockchain. It launched globally in October 2025 across PC and mobile, on iOS and Android, with regional servers for Asia, NA/EU, and South America, then arrived on Steam in April 2026. The game is free to play, set in a world thrown into chaos after the fall of the gods, and adds an optional play-and-earn layer through WEMIX PLAY.

Lore

The story is rooted in Norse mythology. In the primordial void of Ginnungagap, the slain giant Ymir’s body forms the land and seas, and the World Tree Yggdrasil rises to sustain all life. After the fall of the gods, the world slides into chaos and edges toward Ragnarok, leaving players to carve a place among sagas of gods, giants, and mythical creatures. In-game seasons and events, such as the Valhalla Trials, draw directly on this mythology, framing each warrior’s rise through a land shaped by a dying cosmos.

Gameplay

In Legend of YMIR, players explore an open Norse world through monster hunts, expeditions, and contested zones, forming clans for both cooperative and competitive play. Combat emphasizes manual control and timing, with auto-combat offered only as a convenience, so player input drives progression and PvP outcomes. Classes, gear, and clan standing all feed into the larger server-wide conflicts that define the endgame.

• Five classes: Berserker, Warlord, Skald, Völva, and Archer, each with its own combat feel.
• Server Wars: large-scale server-versus-server battles feed the international YMIR Cup tournament.
• Seasonal growth servers: limited-time runs like Bootcamp reset all players to equal footing for a fast leveling race.

Economy

The economy connects to the WEMIX blockchain through the WEMIX PLAY ecosystem, which runs alongside a standard non-blockchain version of the same game. Players earn gWEMIX through activities such as Server Wars and hunts, and it can be exchanged 1:1 for WEMIX. A play-and-earn layer ties rewards to in-game achievement and competitive results, while NFT items are distributed to WEMIX PLAY members and traded within the ecosystem. The Partner’s Server feature lets player groups bid for server operation rights and share revenue generated by community events.
