Introduction
My Lovely Planet is a free-to-play match-3 puzzle game for iOS and Android where completing levels funds real-world tree planting through NGO partners. It runs a hybrid Web2/Web3 model on the Polygon blockchain, adding an optional token layer on top of standard casual play. Players follow a guide called Mama Nature across calm natural landscapes as they clear puzzles.
Setting
The game is built around Mama Nature, shortened to Mama N., who travels through natural scenes drawn from different parts of the world. Players help animals at forest picnics and dive with snow monkeys into thermal pools, all rendered in a soft, cartoon art style centered on conservation. Later scenes introduce Mama’s crafts, handcrafted objects that unlock around level 41 and prompt small animal reactions.
Gameplay
Each level is a match-3 board where players swap adjacent gems to line up three or more of the same piece. Clearing puzzles earns Dewdrops and coins, fills out Scenes and Collections, and opens chests that hold boosters and power-ups for tougher boards. Progress is tied directly to the environmental goal: every 100 levels a player completes funds one tree planted by partner NGOs. The game runs without advertisements and keeps working offline while still tracking level progress.
- Match-3 core: gem-swapping boards with boosters, power-ups, and difficulty that climbs as levels advance
- Scenes and Collections: finishing themed sets awards coins and gradually builds out each location
- Craft unlocks: Mama’s crafts arrive around level 41, adding decorative objects that trigger animal reactions
Economy
The game combines familiar mobile monetization with an optional on-chain layer. Standard in-app purchases sit alongside a Polygon token, MLC, that players can obtain by exchanging in-game diamond gems. The token’s stated role is environmental: part of the supply funds conservation, and holders are meant to vote through DAO governance on which causes receive support. Total supply has been cut from an original one billion to 230 million through burns, with a plan to keep lowering it toward 100 million over time.
- Environmental Treasury: 15.22% of supply is set aside for conservation projects chosen by community voting
- Buyback and burn: a share of in-app purchase revenue repurchases tokens, some of which are burned to shrink supply
- Gem exchange: in-game diamonds convert into the token, linking casual play to the on-chain economy
