Intro

Off The Grid is a cyberpunk-themed Extraction Royale / battle royale developed by Gunzilla Games. Set on Teardrop Island, it combines large-scale PvP combat with narrative-driven PvE objectives and story missions, offering a fresh hybrid take on the genre.

Story

In a dystopian near-future, Teardrop Island serves as the arena for a brutal televised bloodsport orchestrated by powerful corporate interests. Players take on the role of cybernetically augmented contestants (Zeroes) battling for survival and fame. Through story-driven missions and an evolving narrative campaign, players uncover the island’s hidden secrets involving corporate greed, technological exploitation, and their consequences on society.

Gameplay

The current Early Access version of Off The Grid supports up to 60 players per match, blending classic battle royale action with PvE elements. While traditional combat forms the core, players can pursue objectives that advance the overarching story. The signature Extraction Royale mode challenges players to collect high-value resources (HEX loot boxes) and successfully extract them before opponents eliminate you.

Customization is a major aspect, with players enhancing their characters through cybernetic upgrades known as Cyberlimbs. These modular modifications offer unique abilities, allowing players to loot, swap, and tailor their playstyle on the fly for both combat and mission objectives.

• Modular Cyberlimbs System – Shoot off an opponent’s cybernetic limbs mid-match, loot them instantly, and equip them yourself. Over 30 unique prosthetics grant active/passive abilities that completely change movement, combat, and tactical options.
• Verticality & Jetpack Movement – Full jetpack-powered traversal across multi-level environments with destructible cover and high-fidelity gunplay powered by Unreal Engine 5, enabling creative aerial plays and fast repositioning.
• Hybrid Extraction Royale Mode – Survive PvP matches with up to 60 players while completing PvE objectives, looting HEX containers, and extracting them safely to earn high-tier rewards and progress the evolving story campaign.

Economy

The game features an optional blockchain-powered player-driven economy on the GUNZ network (Avalanche subnet, expanded to Solana). Players can earn the $GUN token through gameplay challenges, match performance, and successful HEX extractions. Looted assets like weapons, gear, and Cyberlimbs can optionally be converted into tradable NFTs.

• Earn $GUN Tokens In-Game – Receive $GUN directly from match placements, daily/weekly challenges, successful extractions, and story mission completions , fully optional and separate from the free-to-play core experience.
• HEX Loot-to-NFT Conversion – Extract HEX loot boxes from matches and mint them as true NFTs on the GUNZ blockchain, turning weapons, gear, skins, and Cyberlimbs into ownable, tradable digital assets.
• Cross-Platform Marketplace Trading –  Buy, sell, or trade your NFTs instantly via the official in-game marketplace or external platforms like OpenSea, with full ownership guaranteed on Avalanche and Solana.
