Introduction

Sunflower Land is a free-to-play farming simulation where players build and expand an island farm, growing crops, raising animals, fishing, and trading with others in a shared online world. It runs directly in the browser and can be started with just an email, with a crypto wallet needed only to trade items or move tokens on-chain. The game and its economy span the Polygon, Base, and Ronin networks.

Setting

The game takes place across a cluster of farming islands populated by Bumpkins, the world’s inhabitants, with Pumpkin Plaza serving as the central town where players meet, trade, and take on quests. Beyond the home farm lie explorable regions such as Petal Paradise and a volcanic zone, each with its own resources and activities. Content is organized into seasonal Chapters that rotate roughly every three months, adding fresh themes, events, and collectibles.

Gameplay

The core loop centers on developing a farm from a small starting plot into a productive island operation. Players plant and harvest crops on real-time timers, raise and feed animals, fish for rare Marine Marvels, mine stone and minerals, and cook recipes, then trade those goods or use them to fulfill deliveries for the Bumpkin NPCs at Pumpkin Plaza. Much of the challenge lies in managing timers, resources, and land space efficiently, and the game leans social and cooperative rather than combat-driven.

Sunflower Land runs a player-driven economy where nearly every item, from tools and crops to crafted collectibles, exists as a tradable NFT that players own outright. The FLOWER token is earned through active play, by selling harvests, completing deliveries, and placing in seasonal competitions, and is spent on premium features, seeds, tools, and upgrades. No purchase or NFT is required to start; wallets and on-chain assets only matter once you choose to trade or withdraw.
