Timefront

Introduction

Timefront is a Windows real-time strategy game from Flama Craftworks that combines base building with a battlefield that progressively closes. The game may still be active in development, but BlockchainGames.fun has stopped tracking it because the project no longer includes Web3 or crypto elements. Its official site states that no crypto elements were used in development, while Steam continues to list the game as coming soon.

Lore

The Known World is divided among four playable peoples. The Eldmen are its economic and cultural center, with cavalry and healing arts; the Travelers arrived from another planet and use dark rituals, summons, and siege units. The Ironfolk are renowned metalworkers built for resilient close combat, while the scattered Rogdakar tribes are driven by rage and warfare. In the campaign, Eternity has taken territory through the advancing Timefront, and commanders fight to reclaim those lost lands.

Gameplay

Each match revolves around building a base, gathering resources, expanding an economy, and fielding an army before sections of the map are locked down. Players can change commanders, units, abilities, and artifacts between matches, with more than 100 passive abilities and faction bonuses supporting different builds. The planned modes cover solo battles against AI, online competition, co-op, and a replayable campaign.

Economy

Timefront is being developed as a conventional paid PC game rather than a blockchain title. The official FAQ says the game contains no crypto elements, and it does not have a token, NFTs, or an on-chain marketplace. A purchased copy is intended to keep its offline single-player modes available even if multiplayer support ends. Steam currently marks the unreleased game as containing in-game purchases, but Flama Craftworks has not detailed what those purchases will include, so no specific currency or item model is confirmed.
