Valhalla is an open-world MMORPG with tactical turn-based combat. It was developed by the FLOKI team on the opBNB blockchain. The game is free-to-play and runs directly in the browser.

Lore

Valhalla is set in a Norse mythology-inspired universe. Vikings gather on Floki Island as a new era of war and adventure begins. Magic flows through whimsical yet powerful creatures that players tame and battle with. The narrative focuses on epic Viking sagas, legends, and clan camaraderie.

Recent updates have added Spirit creatures as eternal starting companions.

Gameplay

Players explore a vast open world, gather resources, complete quests, and build clans while interacting with others in real time. Core gameplay revolves around taming and leveling creatures for tactical turn-based combat.

The battlefield is dynamic and shrinks over time. Progression includes using the Tracker to hunt creatures, releasing max-level ones at the Daycare for essence resources, and joining clan boss battles such as Mammuthor. PvP and PvE modes require strategic ability use and positioning.

Economy

The economy is built around FLOKI token utility and earnings from the game treasury. Creatures function as upgradeable NFTs that can be tamed, traded, or released for Vera Essence at the Daycare. Flokitars NFTs provide special perks.

Players can earn account-wide Floki Tiers through staking. These tiers grant bonuses such as increased experience and better loot. The game features in-game resources including Onyx and loot chests. A marketplace is planned for player trading, and additional uses for Vera Essence are in development.

The play-to-earn economy runs on opBNB (BNB Chain L2) and is powered by $FLOKI with multi-million dollar treasury rewards.
