Introduction
Vulcan Forged is a blockchain game studio and ecosystem built on its own Elysium chain, spanning several connected games, an NFT marketplace, and shared token utility. Its flagship is VulcanVerse, an open-world MMORPG set in a Greco-Roman fantasy realm, joined by the collectible card game Berserk and a roster of smaller titles. Most games are free to start, with optional NFT land, cards, and creatures that carry value across the ecosystem.
Lore
The ecosystem’s fiction comes mainly from VulcanVerse, whose world was written by Fighting Fantasy authors Dave Morris and Jamie Thomson. In its story the old gods, led by Vulcan, fade as mortals turn from myth, splintering the world into four quadrants: the Underworld of Hades, the gardens of Arcadia, the desert of Notus, and the mountains of Boreas.
Players take the role of mortals who rebuild these lands, face Vulcanites and mythical beasts such as minotaurs and demons, and recover lost legends of titans and Olympians. The lore was expanded across a series of gamebooks, and each quadrant carries its own look, from snowbound peaks to dark caverns. Other ecosystem games lean on the same Greco-Roman mythology rather than one shared plot.
Gameplay
Vulcan Forged is not one game but a set of titles that share a single My Forge account, wallet, and asset layer. The two that stand apart are the MMORPG VulcanVerse and the card game Berserk, backed by lighter games such as the auto-battler Forge Arena, Vulcan Chess, and several NFT collectible games. Items and progress earned in one game can hold meaning in another.
- Shared account and assets: one My Forge login ties the games, wallet, and marketplace together.
- Cross-game items: some NFTs, such as Berserk cards, connect back into VulcanVerse.
VulcanVerse (Open-World MMORPG)
Players own land plots as NFTs across the four quadrants, then level them to unlock buildings, assets, and Vulcanites to explore with. The loop mixes real-time exploration with land management: foraging, crafting, questing, and defending plots. PvE covers Vulcanites and raid bosses, while PvP sets players against rival forces. The game is in beta, and its current roadmap points the next phase toward group dungeons, deeper progression, and skill trees.
- NFT land shapes exploration, building, and player-made quests.
- Avatar and Vulcanite combat is being unified as the game moves through beta.
Berserk (Collectible Card Game)
Berserk is a browser-based collectible card game played with 30-card decks. Turn-based matches run through set phases as players summon creature cards to a seven-space board, cast spells, and try to drop an opponent to zero life. Cards come in five rarity tiers and can be leveled, with abilities that tie back to their counterparts inside VulcanVerse.
- Card rarities and leveling reward deck refinement and competitive ladders.
Economy
The ecosystem runs on a shared token and a common marketplace. PYR serves as the settlement, staking, and governance token, and it is becoming the native gas token of the Elysium chain the games sit on. Land, Vulcanites, Berserk cards, and other NFTs are bought, sold, and traded on the Agora marketplace, and value earned in one game can move through the same wallet into another.
- PYR staking underpins rewards, marketplace settlement, and network fees.
- NFT ownership spans land, creatures, and cards, all tradable on Agora.
- In-game earning comes from land, quests, and Berserk tournaments rather than one fixed payout.
