What is Myria

Myria is a Web3 gaming ecosystem built on Ethereum that lets players enjoy blockchain-based games without the usual complications. Originally launched as an Ethereum Layer 2 (L2) scaling solution using zk-STARK technology, it offered gas-free transactions, fast gameplay, and seamless NFT support.

As of April 13, 2026, Myria is migrating its entire mission and infrastructure to Ethereum Layer 1 (L1). The L2 network is being phased out, and users must bridge all assets from Myria L2 to L1 before April 27, 2026.

The platform provides a gaming hub to explore titles, a marketplace to trade in-game items, and a wallet to securely manage digital assets. It is designed for players who want fun, seamless gaming without needing to understand complex blockchain tech.

Notable Games on Myria

• Metarush – A multiplayer obstacle course / battle-royale-style game by Myria Studios where you race, compete in challenges, and earn rewards.
• 360 Cricket (Cricket360) – An arcade-style cricket game by Leapblock Studios (developed in partnership with cricketer AB de Villiers) where you play matches and collect rewards for victories.
• Crystals of Fate – A card-based adventure / collectible card game (CCG) where you earn by battling and building decks.

How Gamers Can Earn on Myria

Myria lets gamers earn rewards primarily by playing games on its platform and collecting/trading in-game NFTs such as weapons, characters, or other items. You can earn digital assets in titles like Metarush or 360 Cricket, which you can then sell on the Myria Marketplace or external Ethereum platforms after bridging to L1.

While Myria doesn’t have its own exchange for swapping game-specific tokens, you can use external platforms on Ethereum to trade items earned in games. Rewards can be converted into other digital assets, giving you flexibility to manage your earnings. This setup helps you turn your gaming skills into real benefits without needing deep blockchain knowledge.

Myria Tech and Background

Myria was founded in 2021/2022 by Brendan Duhamel and Andrew Silber, with its main network launching the same year. It was created as an Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 focused on gaming innovation, offering free transactions, fast finality, and easy tools for developers.

The platform has partnered with AB de Villiers to develop 360 Cricket and continues to offer SDKs and developer tools for gaming partners. Following the strategic decision to migrate fully to Ethereum Layer 1, Myria will focus on broader opportunities on mainnet Ethereum (including potential cross-chain partnerships). The move is positioned as a long-term step to position the project amid current market conditions.
