Cambria has released Patch v0.2.0, introducing a new Demonic Power system that changes how players progress through Dungeon floors. The update also adds regional servers in Poland, India, and the Central US as part of an infrastructure upgrade intended to reduce network latency across different regions.
What Changed
- Dungeons now use a Demonic Power resource that contributes to a roll determining whether a player can descend to the next floor.
- Demonic Power is tracked separately from Artifacts and MULT and generally resets after descending to a new floor.
- No floor descent is guaranteed, while deeper floors carry a higher failure risk and greater potential rewards.
- A new Floor Pressure mechanic increases Miasma poison damage and Roaming Threat ambushes the longer players remain on a floor.
- Strongboxes are new locked chests guarded by Ruined mobs that can provide additional Artifacts and MULT without affecting Demonic Power.
- Regional hub servers have launched in Poland, India, and the Central US.
- Cursed Pact and Chest Keys have been disabled pending a rework, while the Affix, Stress, and Chest systems have been simplified.
Numbers and Rules
- Seven new Dungeon map layouts have been added.
- Four new Roaming Threat ambush enemies have been introduced.
- The patch includes four new Abilities, eight new Passives, and six new Quirks.
- Floors 3 to 4 are expected to be the average depth reached under the revised system.
- Regular mobs now have a chance to drop Tier 5 Artifacts.
