PlanetQuest Outposts Game Preview is live at outposts.planetquest.io, a complete rework of core systems featuring expanded fleet, hero cards, trading hub, and player-vs-player operations unlike the previous Early Game Preview.
What Happening
- Construct specialized buildings on three dwarf planets including storage, defense networks, research centers, and quantum refineries; assign heroes as governors for production boosts.
- New mission system drops you into star systems with player, NPC, and other planets; scout with recon drones to decide actions in the explore-scout-decide-act loop.
- Build full fleet of transport ships, recon drones, assault ships, mule drones from centralized queue; disassemble or sell via trading hub.
- Collect hero cards with rarity tiers, buffs/debuffs; assign to Council or as governors, merge duplicates for stronger effects.
- Research in six categories with short and long projects, some taking days.
- Trading hub for direct player trades on resources and fleet; Galactic Exchange for fixed baseline rates.
- Use vaults to protect stockpile, progress reputation tiers for unlocks like colonization and sieges; factions offer missions and leaderboards.
- Assault other players’ planets in PvP operations.

- Outposts Preview runs for a two-week period.
- Expect rough edges, placeholder art, and balancing needs; active patching for bugs.
- Play, provide feedback to shape the final build.
