Parallel TCG has launched Community Clash, a grassroots tournament series for players across skill levels. The series runs as weekly game nights on the Versus app, with small tournament events hosted by the Parallel team, team members, and Ambassadors. Winners from each Community Clash event earn automatic spots in the Community Clash Cup, a tournament of champions planned for late September or early October.
What Changed
- Community Clash adds weekly mini tournaments for Parallel TCG through Versus, which is powered by Echelon and used for sanctioned Parallel events.
- Prize pools can include Parallel Avatars, apparel, physical booster boxes, Glints, AP packs, and other digital or physical items.
- Formats will rotate weekly, with listed modes including Singleton, bracket style, Commons Only, Alpha, Planetfall, Aftermath, Deception, and Haven.
- Winners from each Community Clash event receive automatic spots in the Community Clash Cup.
- Goldy’s Gauntlet winners also qualify for the inaugural Cup, with Psychastore and Rhaenyra named as the first two qualifiers.
Dates and Rollout
- The pilot Community Clash event is a Singleton tournament on Thursday, July 9 at 2:00pm EST.
- Weekly mini tournaments are usually held once a week and run for 2 to 3 hours.
- The Community Clash Cup is tentatively set for late September or early October.
- Goldy’s Gauntlet runs every Tuesday night at 8:00pm EST.
Numbers and Rules
- Singleton requires one deck and allows only one copy of any particular card.
- The pilot event uses four Swiss rounds, best-of-one matches, and open decklists.
- Goldy’s Gauntlet is a best-of-one bracket-style tournament for up to 16 players.
- Players need a valid Echelon Profile to enter Community Clash events through Versus.
