Calamity has launched Sunforge Season, an eight-week event running from June 25 to August 20, 2026 that pairs a slower, longer format with a much wider feature set than the March Play Test. The season adds several new economy systems, rebuilt PvE and PvP tracks, and weekly reward pools, alongside an estimated $20,000 prize pool made up of WYRM tokens, Gold, and NFTs. The team has set the season to unfold gradually, with weekly Tribute payouts and room for new content during the run.
What Changed
- Three new economy systems arrive this season: Holder Production, the Fortune’s Veil Lottery, and Silver Tribute, joined by weekly Tribute pacing and updated reward routing.
- PvE and PvP have been rebuilt for the longer format, covering Conquest progression, Arena preparation, reward timing, and the competitive tracks.
- Reward moments are spread across the eight weeks rather than concentrated at launch, with space for new content to land mid-season.
- A broad polish pass has arrived since the last event, touching UI, combat, economy, mobile, launcher, and quality-of-life areas.
Dates and Rollout
- Sunforge Season starts Thursday, June 25, 2026 at about 1:00 PM UTC, with small launch-time shifts possible.
- The season ends Thursday, August 20, 2026, closing the eight-week run.
- The Conquest leaderboard locks four weeks after launch, around July 24, 2026 at 1:00 PM UTC.
- All other season leaderboards are planned to snapshot in August 2026, closer to the end of the season.
- After August 20, 2026, season Gold set aside for payout will be converted into USDC, with the team aiming to ship the withdrawal bridge before that date.
Numbers and Rules
- The estimated prize pool is around $20,000, combining WYRM tokens, Gold, and NFTs.
- Token leaderboard prizes total 602,500 WYRM, estimated at $5,000 or more, split across Conquest at 248,000 WYRM over 50 places, Duelist PvP at 262,500 WYRM over 50 places, and Combatant PvP at 92,000 WYRM over 40 places.
- Season Gold converts at 100 Gold to 1 USDC for payouts.
- Each weekly Wyrm Tribute pool opens with 10,000 Gold from the team before player activity and contributions build it further.

- The weekly Wyrm and Silver Tribute payouts are distributed separately from the leaderboard token prize tables.
- NFT cosmetic rewards cover the Conquest, PvP Combatant and Duelist, and Fishing tracks, with additional creator reward packs.
