Splinterlands has launched its first Escalation Conflict, a 30-day event where players stake Escalation cards and packs into Mage Wagons to earn points and chances at exclusive Archon card airdrops. The first Archon available is Meredrool. Six Archons will be introduced across successive Conflicts.
What Changed
- Escalation Conflicts are now live, a recurring 30-day staking event using Escalation Mini-Set and Promo cards and packs only.
- Players stake into Mage Wagons (5 cards or 100 packs per wagon) to accumulate points toward Archon airdrops.
- First Archon: Meredrool (Legendary Fire, 3 Mana, Reckless x2, Divine Construct bloodline, summonable from any element).
- Initial airdrop claims will not include Gold Foil or Black Foil versions of the Archon. Those variants are only available through the separate Foil Draw events.
- After each Conflict, Foil Draw Events allow players to allocate earned chances across Gold, Black, GFA, and BFA buckets.
- A new Lustrous Potion has been added to the Artisan Quarter, craftable on Land for 100 Aura each, used to gain extra entries in Arcane foil draws.
- Damaged wagons from airdrop claims are eliminated from inventory. Unbroken wagons carry forward to the next Conflict. All wagon kit balances, including non-card market listings, will be doubled.
Dates and Rollout
- Points began accumulating on May 19, 2026 at 12 PM EST / 4 PM UTC.
- Each Escalation Conflict lasts 30 days.
- Foil Draw Events begin two days after a Conflict ends, giving players one day to place newly won cards into wagons before the next Conflict cycle starts.
Numbers and Rules
- Every 100,000 points earns one entry toward the Conflict airdrop. Each entry carries a 0.00307692% chance to receive the Conflict card, with a guaranteed drop after 325 entries.
- Escalation Standard Packs are worth 125 points each. Regular Foil and Gold Foil cards earn points equal to their collection power, while Black Foil cards earn collection power multiplied by 0.6.
- Each wagon damaged by an airdrop claim must be repaired using the same resource costs as crafting a wagon kit before it can be used again.
- Wagon kits require 17,500 Wood, 7,000 Stone, 1,750 Iron, and 1,250 Aura to craft.
- Leaderboard prizes include 55 Gold Foil cards and 10 Limited Edition Skins distributed across the top 10 finishers, with first place receiving 10 Gold Foils and 1 Limited Edition Skin.
- Players can use potions to add extra Foil Draw entries, up to a maximum equal to the number of Conflict Chances allocated to that specific draw event.
