Alien Worlds Launches On-Chain Competitions System

Alien Worlds Launches On-Chain Competitions System

March 30, 2026

Alien Worlds has introduced a new on-chain competitions system that serves as a central portal for metaverse events. The fully on-chain system provides complete visibility over rules, performance tracking, and reward distribution while allowing integration with mining, missions, and external platforms.

Whats Happening

  • The Alien Worlds UI now acts as a portal for competitions, with the entire system running on-chain for full transparency.
  • Competitions support rewards in Trilium, Shards, or both and can be tied to mining, missions, or other platforms including STEAM, mobile, and browser games.
  • Community developers, DAOs, and players can create and run structured events with clear rules and visible prize distribution.

How It Works

  • Each competition follows a lifecycle: preparing/registration, playing, processing, auditing, and rewarding stages.
  • Players can discover competitions grouped by stage, review details, register, track scores, and claim rewards once approved.
  • Completed competitions remain visible for reference after rewards are claimed.

Creating and Running Competitions

  • Anyone can create a competition by calling the initcomp action on the competitions contract, defining title, description, times, player limits, late registration, and experience link.
  • Rewards are added by transferring Trilium (with competition ID in memo) or using the addshards action. Multiple contributors can support the same event.
  • Admins update scores with scoreset or scoreincr actions and assign rewards using declwinner after the event ends.

Additional Details

  • Prize pools and allocations are defined in advance and become claimable after review and approval.
  • If a competition is rejected, rewards are returned to contributors.
  • Competition reward auditing and approvals are currently handled by Galactic Hubs, with plans to decentralize to the community.

Other Information

  • Players and developers interested in creating competitions can contact Evan at Galactic Hubs: [email protected].
  • Trilium and Shard competition sponsorships are available upon review.
