Grand Arena has released a mid-season update that introduces bRON, a spend-only token from Ronin Network, as a new in-game reward currency usable to purchase Gems. The update also adds 60 new Champions to Season 1 card packs and matches, revises contest scheduling and scoring formats, adjusts Moki Mayhem point values, and shifts Performance Leaderboard payouts from weekly to bi-weekly distributions.
What Happening
- bRON, described as a spend-only token, has gone live in Grand Arena and can currently be used to purchase Gems. An initial 650,000 bRON airdrop is being distributed across four player categories.
- 60 new Champions earned from Weeks 8 through 13 are being added to Season 1 gameplay, card packs, and match pools, and are compatible with their synergistic Scheme cards.
- Contest scheduling has been reduced from three slates per day to two, with new times of 8:00 PM EDT and 10:00 AM EDT. Three new contest formats have also been introduced, including No Win Bonus, Highest Non-Win Only, and Median Non-Win.
- Performance Leaderboard rewards are shifting from weekly to bi-weekly distribution. USDC payouts move from $2,000 weekly to $4,000 bi-weekly, split between Non-Champion and Champion Leaderboards.
- Card series mXP snapshots will move from every four weeks to weekly starting the following Monday, with the per-snapshot mXP amount unchanged.
- Moki Mayhem Win points have been reduced from 300 to 200, and Wart points adjusted from 45 to 40 per 80 meters. Class changes and respecs are now free with a 24-hour cooldown.
Dates and Rollout
- Contest scheduling changes set the first daily slate at 8:00 PM EDT (00:00 UTC) and the second at 10:00 AM EDT (14:00 UTC).
- Daily Jackpot scratch tickets expire if not scratched before 00:00 UTC each day.
- Performance Leaderboard and card series mXP changes take effect starting the following week after Monday 00:00 UTC reset.
- bRON earned in-game appears in accounts immediately but is distributed on-chain weekly.
- Top-up bridging bonuses and Moki Manager snack kickbacks in bRON are available while supplies last.
Numbers and Rules
- The opening 650,000 bRON airdrop is split across four categories: Top 100 players by mXP, Top 250 by contest entry spending, Mokis with at least 50 training XP, and any snack spending since Season 1 started.
- Gem purchases from Base, Ethereum, or Abstract networks earn bRON bonuses in tiers: 10% on purchases under $100, 15% on purchases under $1,000, and 20% on purchases over $1,000. Withdrawing in-game USDC disqualifies the account from this bonus.
- Opening card packs carries approximately a 4.9% chance to receive bRON, across three tiers: 20 bRON (Blue), 500 bRON (Gold), or 10,000 bRON (Pink). Higher-priced packs have greater odds for Gold or Pink tiers.
- The Daily Jackpot awards 7,000 bRON to one winner per day. Tickets are earned at a rate of one ticket per 400 Gems spent on contest entries or lost.
- Purchasing snack boosts for Mokis during training returns a direct 25% kickback in bRON while supplies last. Training mXP earned per hour is now doubled.
- The Champion Leaderboard pays the top 50% of locked and actively trained Champion Mokis. The Non-Champion Leaderboard pays the top 200 locked and actively trained Mokis.
- Future snack spending will no longer contribute to the performance pool and will instead be returned to the spender as bRON at a rate of 25%.
