Star Atlas has launched the Public Test Realm (PTR) for SAGE C4. SAGE C4 is the upcoming 4X-style update to the SAGE (Star Atlas Galactic Economy) mode. C4 stands for Combat, Crafting Habs, Claim Stakes, and Council Rank, and turns SAGE into a full 4X experience covering Expansion, Extermination, Exploration, and Exploitation. The PTR is the open test server where anyone can play SAGE C4 right now before it launches on mainnet.
What Changed
- SAGE C4 PTR is now live and accessible without a wallet connection at sage.staratlas.com.
- All game content is unlocked from the start with no progression gating.
- New Cultivation Claims gameplay loop added, where organic resources feed into consumable recipes for crew and fleets.
- No crafting fees when using Claim Stakes.
- Upgrading a Starbase to Tier 5 in SAGE Starbase allows a faction to control the region that spawns in C4.
- The team has paused major Holosim updates and temporarily shut down zXP earnings to focus fully on SAGE C4. zXP (z.ink Experience Points) is the progression system tied to z.ink, Star Atlas’s own Layer 1 blockchain. Players earn zXP through gameplay and ecosystem activity, which raises their zProfile level and determines their share of future $ZINK token airdrops.
