The initial release opens approximately 10 percent of the city, covering 21 neighborhoods and roughly 20,500 properties across 12 collections. Pre-sale registration and sales begin as early as Monday, April 27.
What Changed
- Cape Town becomes a playable city in Upland, opening at approximately 10 percent of its total area with 21 neighborhoods and 12 collections.
- A limited Cape Town City Pass unlocks the exclusive Cape Town Townhouse structure, which can only be built within Cape Town, and boosts the holder’s Collector Score.

- Collections will be revealed on a rolling weekly schedule each Thursday starting May 7, with any incomplete collections announced, locked, repriced, and reopened on May 28.
- Mint Masters Badges are active for this release, awarding recognition for minting activity during the Cape Town launch.

- City Pass and Block Explorer registration opens Monday, April 27 at 9 AM PT; sales begin Tuesday, April 28 at 9 AM PT.
- Property pre-sale, terminal sale, and marina sale registration opens Tuesday, April 28 at 9 AM PT; those sales begin Wednesday, April 29 at 9 AM PT.
- Cape Town city opening is Thursday, April 30 at 9 AM PT. Any unsold pre-sale properties not sold by 6 AM PT that day will be rolled into the regular release.
- City Pass snapshot is Friday, May 1 at 9 AM PT. Pass holders receive a specific property address to mint at that time.
- City Pass mint window runs from Friday, May 1 through Monday, May 4, closing at 9 AM PT. Unminted properties are released for public minting after the deadline.
- Collection reveals begin Thursday, May 7 and continue weekly through Thursday, May 28, when remaining incomplete collections are announced and repriced.

- Deluxe Bundle: $99, 400 bundles available, includes two Cape Town properties, a chance at a landmark, and the African Crafts Service Structure unlock.
- Cape Town International Airport Terminal: $1,536 per terminal, web only, 10 terminals available.
- Marina sale: $30 per purchase, 200 available, each includes 30,000 UPX and one marina property, with a small chance of receiving a Fishing Yacht Marina.
- Total properties in the initial release are approximately 20,500, with roughly 28 percent designated as FSA properties. Average property price is 18,448 UPX, minimum 1,072 UPX, maximum 1,754,389 UPX.
